
Dela’s (Adeline Maranga) Paukwa (a Swahili word used to call for the listener’s attention to a folk story) talks about her story giving the listener her experiences and expectations.
At 20 years old, Dela’s sound is an edgy soulful mix of Afro, Neo-Soul, Reggae and Hiphop consisting of music with a conscious messages of issues such as love, corruption as well as some of the pain and sufferings that people in the community undergo.

Haiya: How did you come up this idea?
Nina: “I had a dream…it is an idea I thought about. Initially I discussed it with my friend and movie maker, Lupita Nyongo who would later introduce me to Keith Sanders of the Theater Group.
