How can you help Haiti?

Noted personalities around the world came to Haiti's aid when an earthquake of catastrophic magnitude hit the country, affection an estimated 3 million people. As of Monday, 25 January, Haitian authorities confirmed that the dead were more than 150,000.

Actor Jennifer Aniston is the latest in a long line of celebrities to donate money to the Haiti relief appeal. Others are Leonardo DiCaprio, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Wyclef Jean and John Travolta.

Despite the generous contributions from celebrities, officials said an additional $41 million was needed. The United Nations Development Programme made an appeal for aid on behalf of Haiti and the response has been hopeful but slow.
