Sauti Sol to perform at Mombasa’s Wild Waters

For the first time ever, Sauti Sol will entertain their fans at the Coast live.

The show scheduled for March 27th will run from 5pm to 8pm. 

Coast fans finally get Sauti Sol closer to them after making requests on Facebook.

Rhumba music welcomed the weekend last Friday night at Egesa East Villa Inn in Umoja where vocalist Musa Juma and his Limpopo International Band entertained.

Wendy and Patricia of TPF to star at an Open Mic session tonight

Others on the star-studded performance list include highflying poets Chris Mark and Number 8, the Afrofusion band INKA, guitarist Gregory Limbe, musician Fena and host Adelle Kola.

According to organizers, the audience will also be given an opportunity to share their own compositions during the Ksh. 300 entry gig scheduled to last between 7.30pm and 10pm.

The event whose dress code is black is organized in memory of all Kenyan’s who have lost their lives through violent crimes.

Tusker Project Fame (TPF) music reality TV shows finalists Wendy Kimani and Patricia Kahoro will tonight be star attractions at an open mic session at Fiesta Restaurant.

The Cake Festival 2010

‘All Things Chocolate’ was the theme for the pilot Cake Festival held in May 2009 at the Nairobi Safari walk grounds, Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS).

Following the success of the event, a second Cake Festival is set to be held on the 5th June, 2010 at the Splash Waterworld.  The Cake Festival aims to showcase cake art and both amateurs and platforms are able to get equal exposure on one platform.  This charitable event that is open to the public, gives the bakers a chance to market their products at no cost.

The world of cake art is back for a good cause and this time, they are calling on all interested bakers to express interest. Haiya! brings you the details.

 The charity event dubbed the Walk of Love was also graced former radio personality Lorna Irungu who made a public comeback after a long absence.

On Friday night, fans of Musa Juma and his Limpopo International band turned out in their droves at Tents Club on Mombasa and true to his high billing, the Benga music star kept the revelers on the dance floor till dawn.

Weekend entertainment kicked off early on Friday afternoon in Ngong Forest where Afro-fusionist’s Muthoni Ndonga and Chizi entertained at the close of a charity walk in the water tower.
